LOVEY...a plain ole' white stray cat who stole my heart.

We have RING cameras in front of our home and this little white stray began appearing very early in the mornings to feed with the local racoons and possums in the area. I never spotted her in the daylight, so after a time and with more regular visits from her, I decided to set my alarm to get out of bed at around 5 am, when she would come to our driveway area.

I was in luck...I saw her in person but she was terrified and scampered off quickly every time she saw me. Weeks and weeks went by...with me patiently, sitting in our driveway with pj's on, waiting with a can of cat food in hand. And a yellow fine China plate. After about a month of early rises for me and waiting quietly, she began coming closer and closer, coming out from her hiding place that was near by.

I will always remember the first time she let me touch her. I "felt" like a victorious champion for slowly but surely gaining her trust. So every day I continued to gain more and more of her trust, feeding her (in my pj's) at her preferred time of 5:30 am and than dusk time. It became so that every time I opened the garage, there she was, waiting. And she preferred me petting her while she ate. Petting stopped, her eating paused. She was obviously making up for love she had missed.

I was finally able to scoop her into a cage, so we could get her to a vet. After getting X-rays done due to her tummy looking awfully large, unfortunately she was pregnant and too far along to spay. So she and now her adorable babies have been going through the process of weaning so that they are ready for forever homes. This one very plain ole' white stray cat became such an important little cat to me who is very dear to my heart. Looking forward to her many more chapters, living her best life.
